Reverend Kimberly Zarley

Introducing Our New Bridge Pastor

We are pleased to announce that the Reverend Kimberly Zarley joined us in mid-July to serve as our Bridge Minister, in between Rev. Pamela’s interim ministry and the arrival of our settled minister. She has previously served in two Disciples of Christ congregations in Kentucky and Missouri as both a Transitional Senior Minister and as an Associate Minister. Kimberly also previously served as the Spiritual Director for two non-profit agencies in Colorado. She studied for her Master of Divinity at Brite Divinity School, and completed it, along with her Master of Pastoral and Spiritual Care at Iliff School of Theology in Denver. Kimberly’s coursework at Iliff focused primarily on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Post Traumatic Growth, Self-Care and Healthy Boundaries, Pastoral Care of Families, Spirituality Integrated Psychotherapy, Short Term Narrative Therapy, and Counseling for Trauma and Abuse.

Kimberly was baptized in the Methodist Church as an infant but attended a Disciples Church with her family of origin and became a member when she was 10 years old. In her adult years, she has attended Presbyterian, Congregationalist, and Lutheran churches. Kimberly was always curious about seminary during her career as an Art Director in the publishing industry (designing national magazines and books) and felt a call when she became involved in a ministry at a Lutheran Church, helping adult survivors of abuse. She returned to her Disciples roots for her studies and is grateful for the unity in diversity that keeps the Disciples' arms open to all. Rev.

Kimberly’s first Sunday in the pulpit was July 18.
